1st alaia

i just made my 1st alaia, 6' x 16" out of a pine blank that my dad's friend jeff made.  it's really thin and heavy so i'll be stoked if i can catch a wave on it.  thanks nole and pat for helping me!

Hi
The board looks great.

I'm also working on a pine alaia and I'm wondering... how did you protected the board against the sun and the water? Have you used varnish ou linseed oil?

I want to keep it natural so I'm trying with linseed oil, but... I'm not sure if it will work.

First few coats use 2 parts BLO 1 part turpentine, next few coats use pure BLO, last few coats use briwax.
